I’ve wanted to major in business and accounting, but Veale Startup Week has widened my eyes to even more possibilities.
The Veale Venture Challenge was a great experience for me, especially hearing other students’ business presentations.
The executive coaches were enthusiastic and gave useful and critical suggestions to improve student plans and presentations! The judges at the final competition were very experienced and offered excellent questions to the students.
My presentation skills and ability to deliver a business pitch have significantly improved.
I would tell my friends to enter the Veale Pitchfest competition because there are so many things that can be learned from it, not just about business, but about life.
It was a lot of fun watching and listening to the other student entrepreneurs at the Veale Venture Challenge finals. For me, presenting on stage in front of more than one hundred people was a bit more “real” and much scarier than presenting in front of a few judges at school.
The Veale Venture Challenge introduced me to mentors who would like to help me start my company, which would be very beneficial to my future.
I learned in class what it takes to get into business. I will always remember that. Without it, my business and I would not be where we are today.
Mr. Veale’s vision and generosity have inspired Beaumont students in the fields of entrepreneurship and science. The world is a better place because of his incredible talents and his dedication to the next generation.
This program really exposed the dedication and hard work that the people of Northeast Ohio put into making their own independent businesses and giving back to the community.
The Veale Venture Challenge was incredible. I loved being in a setting with so many aspiring business professionals like myself. It taught me that it’s never too early to start your own business
Through the Veale Forum, our young entrepreneurs are being exposed to new opportunities and resources while networking and establishing their place in the market.
Executive Coaching Day before the Veale Venture Challenge finals was a great experience and set me on the path of wanting to be an entrepreneur.
The Veale Venture Challenge dramatically helped with public speaking, which is something you need now in high school, but especially later on in your career.
The business competition made me want to go to college and put all of my effort into my major and push myself to get it done no matter how hard the task becomes.
I discovered my passion for business this year through my school’s entrepreneurship program. I learned valuable public speaking skills and met mentors. I plan to pursue my company, take more entrepreneurship classes, and learn all I can about business.
Through this program I made more contacts than I could have ever imagined and learned about the business community and all of the opportunities Cleveland has to offer.
The Forum has inspired me to be more purposeful in stepping out of the classroom and connecting with what’s happening in the entrepreneurship space beyond education.
I knew I wanted to be an engineer, but now I know I want to be an engineer that works on sports equipment, which I can prototype with a 3D printer. Thanks Veale Startup Week!
The mentors were phenomenal and gave us great advice for the Pitchfest and life in general.
