At Veale Startup Week, I learned there is a much larger variety of business opportunities than I thought.
It was really fun to connect with students from different schools and come together as a team to participate in all the Pitchfest activities.
I learned in class what it takes to get into business. I will always remember that. Without it, my business and I would not be where we are today.
The executive coaches were enthusiastic and gave useful and critical suggestions to improve student plans and presentations! The judges at the final competition were very experienced and offered excellent questions to the students.
Learning how to pitch an idea was a great experience and a skill that I can use in business and in everyday life.
I always thought Ohio is a state that’s not in my future, but Veale Startup Week: The Business of 3D Printing showed me just how much the people of Cleveland care about students.
I had a great experience and it was a lot of fun, especially the prizes. I got a lot of useful tips about public speaking. I definitely will convince my friends to participate next year.
The business competition made me want to go to college and put all of my effort into my major and push myself to get it done no matter how hard the task becomes.
I’ve learned to never give up, even if you fail.
Through this program I made more contacts than I could have ever imagined and learned about the business community and all of the opportunities Cleveland has to offer.
I would tell my friends to enter the Veale Pitchfest competition because there are so many things that can be learned from it, not just about business, but about life.
At Veale Startup Week, I learned that it’s worth it to take risks and devote your time to something that may or may not work out in the end.
I’m proud to be a part of Cleveland and I am very grateful for the opportunities this city gives its younger generation.
My presentation skills and ability to deliver a business pitch have significantly improved.
The Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum has allowed Beaumont School to offer programs that would not otherwise be offered due to cost. Every student is eligible to participate no matter what her financial situation. The guidance and support we receive has encouraged us to explore new opportunities for our girls and do our best to reach every student at Beaumont, showing each girl the possibilities of business and entrepreneurship.
Even those who are not specifically interested in entrepreneurship would pick up valuable communication skills at Veale Pitchfest, especially through the team building exercises.
The Veale Venture Challenge was incredible. I loved being in a setting with so many aspiring business professionals like myself. It taught me that it’s never too early to start your own business
This program really exposed the dedication and hard work that the people of Northeast Ohio put into making their own independent businesses and giving back to the community.
The Veale Venture Challenge and the entrepreneurship programming at my school provide tremendous opportunities for students like me.
I knew I wanted to be an engineer, but now I know I want to be an engineer that works on sports equipment, which I can prototype with a 3D printer. Thanks Veale Startup Week!
