I learned a lot from the entrepreneurs at the Veale Pitchfest and I got some useful skills I can use later on in life.
As a high school student, it’s hard to know where to get started. The Young Entrepreneur Market is a great place to start your business.
It was a lot of fun watching and listening to the other student entrepreneurs at the Veale Venture Challenge finals. For me, presenting on stage in front of more than one hundred people was a bit more “real” and much scarier than presenting in front of a few judges at school.
I always thought Ohio is a state that’s not in my future, but Veale Startup Week: The Business of 3D Printing showed me just how much the people of Cleveland care about students.
The Veale Venture Challenge was a great experience and I am glad I did it. It was cool to meet all the accomplished men who came back to our school to coach us.
It was really fun to connect with students from different schools and come together as a team to participate in all the Pitchfest activities.
The executive coaches were enthusiastic and gave useful and critical suggestions to improve student plans and presentations! The judges at the final competition were very experienced and offered excellent questions to the students.
For my daughter, entering and winning the Business Plan Competition has better prepared her for life than most any other experience.
Veale Startup Week taught me I can design, build, and learn new things and have fun, make new friends, and be myself while doing it!
I keep coming back to the Young Entrepreneur Market and it’s one of my favorite things to do. I love seeing a customer’s face light up and getting satisfaction from selling something. I love that feeling.
Everything about the competition was amazing! The executive coaches were fantastic, and the location was amazing. The judges on the day of the competition were really great and provided quick and thoughtful feedback.
I love the challenge of the Business Plan Competition and the energy from being inspired from working with other entrepreneurs.
I discovered my passion for business this year through my school’s entrepreneurship program. I learned valuable public speaking skills and met mentors. I plan to pursue my company, take more entrepreneurship classes, and learn all I can about business.
I learned in class what it takes to get into business. I will always remember that. Without it, my business and I would not be where we are today.
Even those who are not specifically interested in entrepreneurship would pick up valuable communication skills at Veale Pitchfest, especially through the team building exercises.
The Veale Venture Challenge dramatically helped with public speaking, which is something you need now in high school, but especially later on in your career.
I had a great experience and it was a lot of fun, especially the prizes. I got a lot of useful tips about public speaking. I definitely will convince my friends to participate next year.
I realized while attending Veale Startup Week: The Business of 3D Printing that even a high schooler can come up with a million dollar idea.
I knew I wanted to be an engineer, but now I know I want to be an engineer that works on sports equipment, which I can prototype with a 3D printer. Thanks Veale Startup Week!
I learned a ton through the Veale Venture Challenge and got to work with and learn from some very amazing individuals.
