Guest Speakers:

Katie O’Connell is a senior at John Caroll University and took her first entrepreneurship course in the fall of her junior year. In high school, the word “entrepreneurship” was not even in her vocabulary and it is a shame it was not. The Muldoon Center for Entrepreneurship has helped ignite a fire in Katie, provided her with mentorship that has shaped her college experience, the tools to grow her ideas, and the courage to engineer her future. She hopes to share her energy and ideas with the girls of the Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum at this exciting stage in their personal growth.

Julia Ruggiero, originally from Pittsburgh, PA, is a rising senior at John Carroll University, studying Integrated Marketing and Communications with a minor in Leadership Development. Julia started her own brand, Campus Oils, which teaches people around the world how essential oils can benefit health and wellness. Julia started working with essential oils as a teenager and through her venture, found her passion for entrepreneurship. Julia also uses her media platforms to spread the word about mental health awareness. She started the #vulnerABLEmovement to give people who struggle with mental illness a platform to share their story. She loves speaking with students about the possibilities of entrepreneurship, the power of social media, as well as various health and wellness topics.
